I'm 47, and my body shape only suits certain styles, so I tend to buy stuff that I can wear for a very long time. I have accumulated an INSANE amount of "I'd better buy that now in case I don't see a style like that again that suits me" clothes. Decided recently that there's absolutely no point in me buying anything new for a long time when I have my own department store within my house - plus I'm old enough to have gone through every fashion phase, and I have the stuff in stock when it comes around again. But I have to admit, I miss the dopamine hit of shopping. I do the whole "Put stuff in my online cart now but don't actually buy it" trick, and it helps! (Plus the cost of living crisis and all that...tried to buy a pineapple Swiss roll today and ended up deciding not to when I noticed it was €3.49...I have no business buying clothes if I can't afford a Swiss roll!)
I'm in! Need an excuse to sort the wardrobe so I'm all for it
